One thing I've seen is extension/firefox passes through jaunte but that is only because I've set it to do that. I've tested it and it does stop toolbars from installing outside of sandbox so system still stays safe.
Aside from that, is there anything else that sandboxie can do that jaunte cant? I mean just related to browser security. Make sure both the driver and Sandboxie service (SbieSvc) have started successfully. The sandboxie drvier (SbieDrv) is not available to sandbox programs. I've got a firewall so I know what is coming/going so that feature of sandboxie I don't need since I can block/allow connections with firewall. I downloded the portable sandboxie and extracted all to h:Portable Sandboxie, if I ran XSandboxie.exe, and chose menu Function->Run Sandboxed->Internet Exploere, I got. You can change the name of box, to whatever is the name of your dedicated Edge sandbox. Plus I can fit it on a flash drive and run it without starting a portable sandboxie. To open Edge in a sandbox other than the DefaultBox, you can add this parameter (/box:Edge) to the target: 'C:Program FilesSandboxieStart.exe' /box:Edge msedge.exe -no-sandbox'. What I like about jaunte/firefox is it runs without having something else in background like sandboxie does. I'm just wondering if anyone has any reasons not to? lol. Now that I've used this for a while and having used sandboxie in the past with firefox, I'm almost ready to drop the sandboxie/firefox combination. I've been running portable firefox inside a jpe sandbox for about 1-2 months now and had no problems and liking it so far. 'Portable' implies not leaving remnants/traces of use on the system, which SBIE can provide because you can install, use and later discard programs you want inside the sandbox.
